When SC first put up the club site, almost all of the other Rogue sites out there were maintained by the club's own various members. It was decided early on, then, that the club's overall site shouldn't compete for awards, since its competition might well be its own members' sites. Still, SC won an occasional award even without actively competing. Many of the best Rogue sites on the 'Net are still run by SCers, but our site is maintained and has expanded because of input from all the members, some of whom otherwise do not have their own site. In 2001, several members, many who had contributed much to the SC site and who even had their own site(s), suggested the club actively compete in at least some of the awards categories in the X-Men online community. We did enter the 2002 X-Day Awards the following year by request again, but have again remained out of competitions as a rule other than that.

2001 Cinescape/X-Fan Exy Awards: Best Rogue Site Eric J. Moreels founded the highly popular X-Fan site several years ago and for a while it was housed on the Cinescape web site. It's now hosted by X-World and is going stronger than ever! In that year we decided to compete for awards, we submitted SC to the X-Fan awards and were proud to take the top spot for best Rogue site in the 5th Annual "Exy" awards....
